John Hewett

President and Founder

In early 2008, Mr. Hewett created the vision for Advantage1 to bring software and data warehousing to small to medium businesses via hosted computer centers. He has over 20 years of business experience and the past 12 years have been specifically focused on technology and its implications on the business world. Before establishing Advantage1, he worked with both IBM and Netapp Resellers, where he was responsible for sales and brand marketing. Over the years there has been a shift that has software services coming out of single source and executed by staff of specialist. Storage is also moving in this direction, the growth rate of data has been explosive and the requirements to retain this data has increased and are demanding, the need to find innovated ways to manage and store this data is what has driven Advantage1 to form the partnerships it has to help its customers improve their services to its end-users, all the while driving the cost and complexity downward.

John has extensive experience and background in the technology industry. He has a passion for building strong relationships in all facets of his business dealings and he strives to treat every customer as if they were his only customer.

John also loves to ski, sail, play tennis and golf or participate in all the wild and crazy sporting activities his customer like to partake in. Just ask him! Oh, and when he isn’t visiting customers - he is usually attending one of his 4 girls soccer or tennis sporting events. Tell me about your passion(s) in life!
